The International Language of Love: What I Learned by Partying with the Koreans
Loading
/

“The international language of love” usually refers to ways of expressing affection, connection, and care that transcend cultural and linguistic barriers. It’s the idea that love—whether shown through a smile, a kind gesture, touch, music, art, or even food—can be universally understood and felt, no matter where you’re from or what language you speak.

Love: it’s not about words—it’s about energy, intention, and the heart. That’s why things like holding someone’s hand, sharing a meaningful look, dancing, or creating something beautiful together can feel so powerful across borders.

This is what I experienced in the unlikeliest of places: a party with a bunch of Korean-only-speaking Koreans. I could of sulked and pouted all night that no one was talking to me, validating the belief that I don’t belong. Instead, I opened my heart with the help of a little karaoke to a bunch of strangers. Want to know what happened? We truly spoke the international language of love. It was a beautiful, unforgettable night!
